Healthy women ages 18-30 are needed for a study of an investigational vaccine against genital herpes.
Facts about Herpes:
Approximately ONE out of FOUR women in the United States develops genital herpes.
Symptoms are often subtle and most people don't know they have herpes.
People who do not have visible symptoms can still spread herpes.
This vaccine CANNOT give you herpes
Who is Eligible?
Women 18-30 year of age
Women who have no history of oral (cold sores) or genital herpes.
Women who are not pregnant, breast feeding, or planning on becoming pregnant for the next 8 months.
Women who are not planning on moving away from the bay area for 2 years.
You will be paid $20 for your first screening visit.
You will be paid $40 per visit after the screening.
Make up to $340.00

Tue, June 5, 2007 - 2:41 PMalthough, they are both in the same larger family of viruses... in case you care about their evolutionary history. The fact that they both have strains that infect genitals is largely coincidental.
