Re: Handy STD Chart
Fri, December 22, 2006 - 6:54 AMhello and namaste all,
just joined and had to reply to this post.
thanks for the chart, s!! san fran seems to be a great place to get all kinds of testing.
however, i just wrote the doctor from the site about the below.
i will tell you it is not rare to catch any kind of herpes II or I from any kind of sex or kissing.
please do not be complacent with your protection, always protect with saran wrap, condoms, gloves, and/or dental dams for any kind of genital/anal/oral/hand/finger/fisting/etc contact, and use an anti-viral gel when you use the protection (not just the gel).
as far as kissing, you can contact herpes II by mouth from someone else - i gave it once like that :-(
please consider what you are doing with who.
if they got their herpes test and just had any kind of unprotected sex like above, that will cancel out that negative herpes result.
happy holidays,
xo

Re: Handy STD Chart
Mon, December 25, 2006 - 10:02 AMYeah huh? I wonder why they don't mention the risk of herpes transmission through mouth-to-mouth kissing? And I suppose the term "rare" is relative... as we were discussing in the HSV-2 thread: yabetterknow.tribe.net/thread...d8d7bc7
